A Visit from our Hierarchs!

On Wednesday June 24 Camp was pleased to have His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh join us for the day. He came to visit with all of his children from Session 1 of the JOY camping weeks. During his visit, he did a Q&A with the kids. With patience and love, His Eminence answered every question to the best of his ability. Everything from his favorite kind of pizza, to his favorite miracle that he's seen were topics of interest.


A few hours after Metropolitan Savas arrived, Camp was blessed with another visitor! His Grace Bishop Gregory showed up to take care of some camp related work and to be with his staff. Upon his arrival to camp, His Grace played a bit of a trick on all of the CN staff. Upon seeing his car, Fr. Stephen and a few others made an announcement to staff over our walkie talkie system that bishop was here. So the staff rushed outside to greet His Grace, but he was nowhere to be found. Encompassed in confusion the staff were looking around like, "Ok, where is he?"


Suddenly, bishop was spotted by one of the staff sitting in Fr. Stephens office. We came to find Bishop Gregory snuck into Fr. Stephens office while we were all out looking for him! We came to find out His Grace snuck into Fr. Stephens office when everyone was outside looking for him. Haha. When we walked back in, Bishop Gregory was sitting at Fr Stephens desk with a huge grin! Well played, your grace! Well played! Just another reason to love our hierarch - not only is he a strong spiritual leader, but also very light hearted and playful. After the CN staff received blessing from His Grace, we hung out for a little bit with him and went back to our assigned tasks.


About an hour later, His Eminence and His Grace greeted each other in the business wing of the camp lodge. It was a wonderful exchange of conversation between the hierarchs! Some pictures are posted below!
